Here's what Romona had to say about her tutorial: This tutorial is adapted from an article found in the magazine “Cloth Paper Scissors” July/August 2007 issue. The artist for the paper beads is Kelli Perkins and I have greatly reduced the technique. If you wish to use more advanced techniques for the paper beads, I highly recommend finding a copy of the magazine above, there is far more information there than what I have included.

I was planning to do something in the way of an art card, but when I started looking through some drawers, I found a little kit to make this post it book and thought it would be perfect for this. I have included directions to make the book and if you like it well enough you’ll be able to make other styles of the same thing by just resizing the paper and hard board to suit your needs. The post it book is an easy surface to work with as would an ATC or whatever your fertile imagination can concoct.

  1. Hello, great blog!
We just wanted to leave a small note for anyone who would like to see a range of quality paper beads and colourful recycled jewellery.
Mzuribeads have been individually hand rolling beads from recycled paper to make unique beads and jewellery from the village of Ndejje in Uganda for over three years. I would like everyone interested in our art to visit our website, where you can locate a stockist near you or goto our online shop to buy our loose paper beads and paper bead jewellery. http://www.mzuribeads.com Thank you, Kirstie
