Please read the preparation and making up instructions carefully before commencing...♥
PREPARATION: Using a marker and ruler, mark in Horizontal lines 2" apart down the length of the front fabric piece
Tack or pin Pellon onto the back of this piece and machine stitch Pellon and fabric together down the marked lines with matching thread....set aside.

I hope that by double clicking on the design transfer picture it will come up to actual size for you to print off...if not you may need to enlarge it a little...

Trace the Bluebirds onto the front fabric stitchery piece, back with Pellon... and embroider with your choice of threads...refer to pic for inspiration..
Attach the bluebird stitchery to the right hand side of the front piece by stitching around the stitchery, and finish off with your choice of ric-rac around the outside edge.

Keeping in mind that the 12 inches is the width, fold pocket pieces in half and press.
Keeping in mind that the fold line is the top of pocket, position the pattern sheet under one half of each pocket piece.

With a sharp HB pencil transfer the design outline of the letters, scissor and heart shape onto the fabric.
Place the heart on the triple pocket in the centre of fabric, position the scissor shape to the right leaving enough allowance at the side for seams, the button letters to the left also leaving room at the side for seams.

Using the fold line as a guide for the top of the pocket and making sure you have the designs the right way up, trace in The “I ♥ TO SEW” letters about 1½ inches down from the fold line.

Please refer to the pics for guidance...

Tack Pellon pieces onto the back of each corresponding pocket halves

I have embroidered a very simple stitchery with just a few lazy daisy flowers and leave....You may embroider in as little or as much as you like...

BUTTONS POCKET: Using one strand of DMC thread stem stitch the letters.

If you wish...Scatter and work in lasy daisy flowers and leaves among the letters.
HEART: With one strand of the DMC green thread, stem stitch the heart, again work in lazy daisy flowers and leaves to one side of the heart...trailing up and down.

SCISSOR POCKET: Stem stitch the scissor handle with one strand of Black DMC thread, then stem stitch the scissor blades with one strand of grey DMC thread.
Work in lazy daisy flowers and leaves around the scissors if you wish..

LOVE TO SEW POCKET: Using one strand of the black DMC thread stem stitch the letters.
Work in lazy daisy flowers and leaves up and down through the the heart

BLUEBIRDS SWAG: Trace off the bluebirds swag onto the large pocket piece..approximately 2" down from the fold line.
Embroider the design, ..It's best not to draw in the flowers and leaves, as you may not be able to cover up the pencil marks...embroider them in free hand..

This picture shows the outside and inside lining pieces of the caddy...

Place the "I ♥ to Sew "pocket in place on the inside lining piece of fabric...

First stitch down the "I ♥ to Sew" pocket down the middle to the lining..
Then place the Heart, scissor and buttons pocket on top....Fold back out of the way. the lining fabric so as not to catch in the stitching....stitch down the two seams on either side of the heart to the other pocket underneath...

Lay back down the the lining with pockets flat in place... see picture above.
Place the front outside piece flat on table, right side down. Lay the lining piece with pockets in place on top...lining up the raw edges together, trim off any excess... pin in place and stitch around the outside edge to hold in place....

Starting from the middle ..Mark and machine stitch three rows of stitches 2½ inches apart across the width in the middle ...this will be under where the pincushion will go.

PIN CUSHION: Fold the pincushion piece of fabric in half and stitch up the three sides leaving a small opening to turn through. Turn right side out and stuff with polyester fill, sew up the opening. Attach the pincushion to caddy with a button on each corner.
COTTON REEL HOLDERS: Cut two pieces of narrow ribbon 12 inches long, fold each piece in half and stitch down onto the caddy next to the pincushion... thread one half of the ribbon through the cotton reel and tie with a pretty bow... see pics..
Straighten and trim raw edges.
BINDING: Cut binding 2 1/2 inches wide , press in half lengthwise and sew onto right side of caddy; turn over to wrong side and hand stitch down to the back.
If you wish you can make ties out of left over main fabric and attach to front of caddy.
