FREE Pinelope - A Pin Cushion Doll Pattern From Colleen Babcock of The Magic Bean

I thought you might all like to know that Colleen Babcock of The Magic Bean blog has a wonderful FREE Pin Cushion Doll Pattern on her The Magic Bean blog.

FREE Pinelope Pin Cushion Doll E-Pattern

Here's what Colleen had to say about her FREE E-Pattern: Well, my brain is officially mush. I've simply poured out every bit of intelligence I had left today. I am using the last little bit I have remaining to post this free pattern. So please download the Pinelope pin cushion pattern while I go wallow in my tub. Hopefully, some brain power will seep back while I sleep. I would love to see what you make with this pattern. So e-mail some pictures. Can't wait to hear from you!

Please respect Colleen's Terms of use: You may make and sell as many dolls as you would like from this pattern. Be sure to give Colleen Babcock credit for design on any tags and accompanying literature. Please do not copy or distribute this pattern. You may not sell this pattern.

Colleen's Bio - Colleen has always enjoyed making ‘stuff’. First, constructing things made out of paper toilet rolls as a kid in Canada. Then, making costumes and sets as a Theatre Design & Production major at York University in Toronto, and now in every spare moment as a doll maker in London, England. It was Colleen’s dad and their mutual love of Christmas that inspired her to make a polymer clay Santa as a gift. It wasn't until seeing the dolls of Patti Culea, Barbara Willis and Betts Vidal at an exhibition in London six years ago that cloth dolls figured into the equation. Colleen found cloth doll making so magnetic because it never limits you to any one technique, material, or style. An obsession was born. Colleen’s husband and parents are by now pros at fabric shopping, doll critiquing, and stoking the creative fires.

Colleen has recently contributed a doll to Patti Medaris Culea's latest book Creative Cloth Doll Beading, had a doll featured in Soft Dolls and Animals magazine, sells her dolls via Craftworks gallery in west London and is teaching online classes in dollmaking.
